So I always thought a billion and a million didn’t sound impressive enough. Something happened 65 millions years ago? That’s not that impressive. 65 is a number I can get my head around. And a million is too abstract really. Then I learned that some scientists avoid using the word billion because it didn’t have a universal value. Instead they say things like a thousand million!? WHAAAT? 4.5 thousand million years ago! WOOOOW! 65 thousand thousand years ago!? It just sounds so much cooler and so much larger to me.
Relatively useless, but hey, isn’t that the point of life?
